The restaurant was amazing! The food was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The customer service was excellent, especially from Ishowri Thapa. She was very polite, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect. Her kind attitude and quick service made the experience even better. Highly recommend this place!

When I saw this restaurant had a high rating I was keen to try it out. It did not disappoint, best Nepali food I've had in Melbourne. The momo platter is a must try.

Absolutely loved the Nepalese food at Galli Kitchen! Everything tasted super authentic — rich, comforting, and full of flavour. The momo platter was perfectly spiced, and the chowmein was super delicious. You can tell the food’s made with love. Cozy little spot with warm service — it feels like you’ve been invited into someone’s home. Highly recommend if you’re craving real Nepalese food in Melbourne!

you’re on the hunt for authentic Nepalese flavors in Melbourne, this spot in Coburg is a must-visit. From the very first bite, it’s clear that they take their food seriously, balancing bold spices with comforting homestyle cooking. We started with the Momo platter, a selection of juicy dumplings packed with flavor and served with a punchy dipping sauce. The spicy potatoes were another standout—crispy on the outside, perfectly seasoned, and impossible to stop eating. To wash it all down, we had a Nepalese beer, which paired beautifully with the heat and richness of the dishes. The highlight of the meal was the big local Nepalese thali, a true feast that showcased the depth of Nepalese cuisine. Every element on the plate was a treat—the comforting dal, rich chicken curry, and hearty vegetable curry were all packed with authentic flavors. The sides took it to another level: gulab jamun with curd for a sweet contrast, tangy raddish pickle, bold tomato pickle, and the unique, earthy gundruk ko achar (fermented mustard leaves). The aalu ko achar (potato pickle) added just the right amount of tang, while the mustard greens and a drizzle of ghee over the rice tied everything together beautifully. It’s the kind of meal that stays with you—the warmth, the spice, the comfort. If you’re craving a true taste of Nepal, this is the place to be.

What a place to spend your money.Toatlly worth it. I was in Melbourne for 5 days I tried lots of Nepali food in CBD but they didn’t meet my satisfaction. Then I found Galli kitchen and I travel for 30 mins in tram to try their food.We ordered fish fry, khasi ko Bhutan, chowmein and panipuri.Omg what a taste, what a environment so friendly staff, really feels me like I was in real Galli of Nepal.Hats off to chef LOBO who cooked those food not with his hands with his heart. In last 5 years in Australia I had tried lots of Nepali food in Sydney,Melbourne and brisbane among all this was my best experience.Very good job guys plz keep the consistency will definitely back when I will be in Melbourne next time.Thank you so much.

One of the best Thali sets we've ever had.Having heard a good response from a colleague of mine, we decided to give Galli a try on Thursday evening. It was a small place located at a walking distance from Coburg Station, by Bell Street, decorated with typical wall art and posters. We started with lassies, which was really good. It didn't take long for the Thali Set to arrive on our table. I was blown out by the size as it looked enough to feed two people. It was designed with a well-balanced set of veggies, lentils soup, pickles, chutney, and sweet to finish off with.We have had our best Thali Set in Pokhara a couple of years back, and what we had at Galli reminded us of Pokhara. A huge thanks to the CHEF.We'll definitely come back!

Best authentic Nepalese food in Melb @galli_kitchen_coburg_ is where you should be for their cheapest & tastiest Nepalese cuisine where the food will take you on a nostalgic memory trip down to Kathmandu, Nepal. That chicken momo platter is an ultimate momo lovers dream food to try here, especially comes with so many varieties of momo from pan fried to steamed to kothey to chilli, and all are equally delicious and amazing to eat. I’m gonna be back for this again. Also that khana set meal is a perfect one to try the Nepalese food’s authenticity at this restaurant and you get to taste a bit of everything which is flavourful and wholesome. Highly recommend and it’s a great value meal for the price as it comes with so many options and easy to share as well. Also try the Nepalese beer which are difficult to find here in melbourne. The food is freshly made upon order and is of good quality too. Also the portion sizes are quite generous considering the price. The staff are all very welcoming and friendly and this place has a charming ambiance, so great to visit with your friends and family.
